Most asked customer to staff question at Earth Arts,
"What do you like to paint?"
Probably one of the hardest questions to answer. We get it, you walk in to over one hundred choices of pottery shapes. Some are functional, decorative or personal. I know I love to paint plates, bowls, anything that is a "blank canvas". Emily, our manager, always chooses figurines, fairy houses, she's amazing at details. Everyone always asks her to paint their eyes on their figurines, eyelashes and all. Our other staff members go back and forth with their choices, but I'm always amazed at their samples.
So, I did a bit of research, went through 7 years of customer's sales and found the SURPRISING 5 top painted pieces of pottery at Earth Arts. We are open 7 days a week until labor day
(except July 4th...Happy Birthday America).

We are always curious to see what pottery you'll pick to paint.
The Ceramic Caddy
We loved this shape so much, there is one at every table. They are great for holding all our brushes, school supplies, even your summer plastic ware for your summer outdoor dinning. You'll always see it at our ladies night complimentary buffet spreads
Yummy Cupcake Box
Maybe it's the sprinkles? This cupcake box has been painted thousands of times in so many different flavors. It's a favorite with parents, who are always searching for a "functional" item for their kids. Ice cream cones boxes, were also in the top ten.
Party Princesses
This one had me stumped, coming in at number 3. I thought for sure she was going to be number 1. She's so popular our staff fought over which Disney princess they get to paint when we were doing our samples. You can still see them on our store front Boardwalk. Her big sister, the princess bank was not so far down the list either.
The Buddha Box
Spiritual and functional, this piece has really flown off our shelves. Every time we have them in, it seems we have to reorder them the next week. We have watched our customers really get their zen on, as they concentrate on the details of our Buddha. The large buddha (shown above) is also popular, but more expensive.
This Buddha Box fits into everyone's budget and life style
Penguins Penguins Penguins

Doesn't matter what time of year, there are ALWAYS penguins coming out of our kilns. Penguin plates, mugs, banks, figurines, it seems to never end. And it's always fun to see how our customers get creative with these adorable not always black and white creatures.
You NEVER need an appointment to paint pottery at Earth Arts. Just walk in during regular store hours and we will get you started.
