Putting the F.U.N. in fundraiser
We opened Earth Arts over seven years ago.
Tim immediately saw the business as a way to give back to the community. I'm thinking to myself, "Don't we have to make some profit first before we give back?" But he had already come across the Waterfront Warriors on social media, and had his heart set on setting something up for them. So he contacted Kerry, and they coordinated one of our first Ladies Night Out with 15% of the proceeds going to the Waterfront Warriors. It was a success. Everyone had a fun night out, we were able to give back a nice donation to the Waterfront Warriors, and we introduced our infant business to lots of creative ladies that evening.
Through our 7 years doing business in Long Beach with have been involved in many FUNdraisers through Earth Arts. We have had entire weekends devoted to Long Beach elementary schools, Parent and me paint night outs, our annual Sisters in Arms night out, the annual empty bowls FUNdraiser for our local soup kitchens and pantries, and we can't forget the Project Pay It Forward group, that helped so many businesses after Hurricane Sandy.
The other night we held a FUNdraiser with Joe Sinnona, a local realtor in Long Beach. He sent a flyer to his friends, clients and other locals, for a paint night at our store. The group was fun, relaxed, snacked on some wine & cheese, and made some beautiful beach paintings together. And the best part was being able to give back! Together we were able to raise a few hundreds dollars to our Long Beach Friendship and Food INN, one of our local soup kitchens.
So, point being, whether you're a local school, church, synagogue, business or just someone who wants to get some friends together, have fun and give back to a good cause, we can help! We love to help! We're getting pretty good at it too.
